Wintery conditions in Herrington Country Park this morning

STADIUM of Light bosses are advising Sunderland fans to plan their journey in advance and check traffic and travel reports ahead of tonight’s FA Cup with Budweiser 3rd round replay with Bolton Wanderers.

The Stadium of Light pitch has been covered overnight and is in good condition. The surrounding areas and access routes are currently clear, however supporters are advised to exercise caution when approaching the stadium tonight.

SAFC’s head of safety and security Paul Weir said: “As is normal in adverse weather conditions we would ask fans to leave extra time for their journey to the stadium and to heed travel advice from the usual sources. “

Tickets are still on sale for tonight’s game, priced at £15 for adults and £5 for under 16s and over 65s. The Stadium of Light ticket office will be open until kick off at 7:45pm and cash turnstiles will also be in operation around the stadium. The ticket office and collections points are expected to be busy, especially as kick off approaches and fans are advised to buy or collect tickets as early as possible or to use the cash turnstiles, which will be open from 6:15pm.
