DRESSED as their favourite characters from the world of film, toddlers used their little legs to raise hundreds of pounds for city hospice Grace House.

Silksworth Church Toddler Group has now raised an impressive £8,000 for the hospice, which will help ensure seriously ill children receive round-the-clock medical care at the hospice in Southwick.

The fancy dress toddle began at St Leonard’s RC Church and ended at the Independent Methodist Church, where a party celebration greeted the participants. Karen Maclennan, senior fund-raiser at Grace House, said: “I was both thrilled and delighted to be invited once again to go along and see all the toddlers in their fantastic costumes.

“From pirates and fairies, to fairytale characters such as Red Riding Hood and Tinkerbell, it was a magical toddle.

“I would like to say a huge thank you to Denise Oliver, to organisers and the parents and grandparents for organising the fancy dress, and for making it an annual event that is so very special.”
