SUNDERLAND sisters Annabelle and Emily Dittmar have been revealed as the winner’s of quirky TV show Coach Trip.

The Channel 4 TV show saw the pair travel hundreds of miles from their home in Broadway Grange, near Doxford Park, to Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy and other European countries.

And tonight they were voted winners by the other contestants as the show reached it’s conclusion in the Spanish holiday destination of Marbella.

Emily, 22, a dental nurse said: “We’ve come away and something, and just been us.”

Annabelle, 18, a sales assistant, said: “We’ve gone from beginning to end. It’s just been the best thing we’ve ever done, especially because we’ve done it together.

“We’ve won it, and it’s the best thing that could ever happen.”

Fellow contestants praised the girls for their love of live, naïvety and innocence.

The Sunderland sisters competed against couples from across the country for the show which sees contestants striving to keep their place on the coach.

At the end of each day, the group gathered and the pairs voted for the couple they would like to leave.

The couple with the most votes received a yellow card. Two yellow cards became a red card, meaning they were off the coach and replaced by a new couple.

Annabelle said: “Filming days were really long and there were a few odd people and a few horrible people which made an awful atmosphere.

“But I think everyone on our coach voted well because the annoying people didn’t last very long and the nice pairs stayed on.”

The sisters filmed the show last autumn and had been warned not to reveal how long they lasted in the contest.

Annabelle added “It was an amazing experience.

“I don’t know if I can ever beat it, it’s definitely made me want to travel.”
