BEST friends struck the right chord with fans to make it through to the next stage of a national competition.
Jacee Pink, 10, and Mia Carney, 11, initially failed to make it through to the regional final of the Teenstar singing competition, but were given a chance through a wildcard vote.
They were told only one could go through, but now they have been told they have both made it to the Northern area final of the competition at Huddersfield Town Hall, on May 25.
Mia’s mum, Ashley, 40, told of her pride at her daughter, who attends Farringdon Academy.
“Mia is over the moon. We didn’t realise both of them could get through,” she said.
“She’s buzzing because she wanted it more than anything else, and this is the first time that she has done anything like this.”
Jacee’s mum Amy Pink, 33, of Humbledon, added: “I’m pleased for them both.
“They said they would help each other out in the competition.
“Jacee is really talented, and I know she’s going to go far.”
