SUNDERLAND has extended its deal with kit provider adidas, the club have announced.
The Black Cats initially signed a deal with the famous brand in 2012 and have now penned a deal until 2020.
The agreement will make it the longest kit deal in the club’s history.
SAFC chief executive, Margaret Byrne, said: “Adidas are one of the most iconic sporting brands in the world and our partnership with them has gone from strength to strength in the last two years. We are looking forward to developing the growing interest in Sunderland AFC, both domestically and internationally, with Adidas, a brand leader in world football.
Nick Craggs, Adidas brand director, added: “Adidas is immensely proud to be signing a new long term deal with Sunderland AFC, a club with such a fine tradition and outstanding fans.
“We pride ourselves on providing the players with the best in innovative kit designs to give them the best possible performance on the pitch and, equally, fans with a replica range that they are proud to wear.
“We look forward to continuing this excellent partnership into the 2014-15 season and beyond.”
The Black Cats recently unveiled their blue adidas away kit for next season, which will go on sale today.
The red and white home kit is set to be revealed in the coming weeks.
