SUNDERLAND AFC is continuing its SAFC legends season card campaign in the run-up to today’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.
Vaux brewery Way, the approach Road to the Stadium of Light, has been re-named Julia Ward Way, in honour of the long-term season card holder.
The campaign, launched by the club as a way to show dedicated fans its appreciation for their ongoing support, has seen people take centre-stage on imagery, adverts and promotional activity.
The club says SAFC Legends highlights its belief that supporters are the true icons of any football club, with fans who have renewed their season cards for 2014-15 starring in the campaign.
Young supporters are also getting in on the action with Sunderland’s hugely popular mascots Samson and Delilah sporting the names of junior season card holders Jack and Lola on the back of their shirts at the game.
Numerous members of the first team have already taken to twitter, using #SAFCLegends to personally thank fans for renewing ahead of the new campaign.
Further activities will take place over the coming weeks as the campaign builds momentum.
Sunderland AFC has taken the decision to reduce the price of every season card for 2014-15.
The deadline to sign up and take advantage of the price reductions is 5pm Friday 11th April, 2014.
