Dressed to impress, those taking part in the formal evening will be able to enjoy the gaming tables, as well as entertainment from students and food from the catering department.

In the lead up to the event, a group of music students are also planning to visit the hospice to entertain residents.

Billy Nicholson, lecturer in creative industries at East Durham College, csaid: “The students wanted to put on an evening event as part of their course to help raise some money for the local community.

“When they researched into the work done by Hartlepool Hospice, they knew that’s who they wanted to help.

“The ideas for the night so far have been brilliant. I can’t wait to see it all come together, and hopefully we can raise a good sum of money to help towards the hard work the hospice does.”

Janice Forbes, community fundraiser at Hartlepool Hospice, said: “This will be a great night and I would urge James Bond fans to get tickets.

“Thanks to everyone involved in organising the night, we wish you every success and all the money raised will go to supporting our patients.”

Tickets for the James Bond evening, on Thursday, April 21, are £10, are available from East Durham College’s Peterlee campus reception or by phoning 0191 518 8222.
