AMATEUR radio buffs will be in Sunderland to help raise money for one of the RNLI’s biggest annual fund-raising events – SOS Day.
SOS Radio Week starts on Saturday and runs February 5 and will see amateur operators attempt to contact as many other amateur enthusiasts as possible throughout the world.
The event has raised over £15,000 since its official launch in 2009.
Participants will be operating from various venues including a selection of RNLI lifeboat stations.
RNLI SOS Day is on Friday January 31. For more information please visit: www.rnli.org.uk/sos
