A VAN and a car were left damaged after a crash on the Sunderland-bound carriageway of the A690.
The collision left the white Citroen Berlingo straddling the central reservation of Durham Road at its crossing with High Lan, near Quicks Garage, at Stoneygate at 11.50am today.
The vehicle’s side was left damaged in the collision, which left debris across the right hand lane.
A green Daewoo Lanos sustained front-end damage.
No one was injured in the smash and police did not close any lanes in its aftermath.
