DOZENS of people are combing the streets of an East Durham village tonight, searching for a runaway teenage girl missing for more than 24 hours.
Fourteen-year-old Natasha Jade Lyons has not been seen since she stormed out of the house she shares with mum Michelle Robson and her brothers and sisters in Cotsford Park, Horden, yesterday tea-time.
Family members, friends and neighbours gathered at the Welfare Centre in the village this evening to organise search parties.
Among them were dad John Lyons and grandad Kevin Williams.
“She had a disagreement with her mum, she packed her bag and ran out of the house,” said Kevin.
The family believe someone must know where Natasha is.
“She doesn’t like the dark and she doesn’t like the cold,” said Kevin.
“We feel she definitely won’t be on her own.”
Natasha has red/purple dyed hair and was wearing dark jeans, a dark blue hooded top and distinctive green suede Puma trainers when last seen, though she did pack a changer of clothes.
A Durham police spokesman confirmed Natasha had been reported missing.
Anyone with any information can contact Natasha’s aunt Lyndsey Williams on 07538 721 480.
