YOUNGSTERS are eager to learn, say education chiefs.
Ofsted inspectors visited Dame Dorothy Daycare and rated the pre-school as good overall.
In their report into the Dock Street centre, inspectors said: “Children make very good progress in communication and language. This is because practitioners have good strategies in place to support children with the development of their language.
“Children are motivated and eager to learn. They benefit from a stimulating range of activities and experiences to provide them with opportunities to make good progress.
“Among areas that need improvement, the nursery should develop children’s ability to persevere when they encounter problems, ensuring they are given the time to try things out for themselves.”
