CALL centre staff have been “putting” their golf skills to the test in aid of a cancer charity.
Across three days, workers from npower’s Rainton House offices are taking part in numerous fund-raising tasks, including a three-round golf challenge and a 24-hour lock-in to help out Macmillan Cancer Support.
The fund-raising event came to a close with a crazy golf competition, where employees used their break-times to compete in departments to see who could raise the most money and get the best score. The challenges are part of npower’s “10 for 10” campaign, which involves staff completing 10 challenges throughout 2014.
It marks the 10th anniversary of the company’s partnership with Macmillan, and it is aiming to raise £150,000 for the charity.
