MEDIEVAL knights will don their armour for battle in Durham City this weekend.
Reenactment group Dawn of Chivalry has joined forces with the Get Dressed for Battle stall in Durham Indoor Market to put on a day of medieval fun. There will be a display of arms and armour, a “dress the knight” challenge for children, and the chance for youngsters to take on a knight in battle.
Pauline Brown, of Get Dressed for Battle, said: “There will be plenty of comedy in the battles, fun twists, and audience participation.
“It will be a little bit educational as well as fun for all the family.”
The displays will go on show in the Market Place from 10am on Saturday.
Reenactments start at noon and run until 3pm.
