Marie Curie’s appeal

MARIE Curie Cancer Care’s Great Daffodil Appeal starts on March 1.

Wearsiders are urged to support those with a terminal illness by giving a donation and wearing a daffodil pin throughout March.

Community Fund-raiser Charlotte Flowers said: “We need everyone in the Sunderland to donate and wear one of our daffodil pins during March.

“Every penny you give is absolutely vital in helping us support people with terminal illnesses in your area, and provide more of the free hands-on care and emotional support we’re renowned for.”

Collections will take place at Ryhope Asda on March 8, 9 and 10; Sunderland Asda on March 22, 23 and 24; and Doxford Park Morrison’s on March 30.
