A MAN was arrested after violence broke out at a Wearside pub.
The victim was punched in the face, cutting his nose at The Burn Hotel in Hetton Road, Houghton, on Sunday night.
Police attended the scene and arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of assault.
He has now been bailed.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: “At 9.24pm on Sunday police received a report of a fight at the Burn Inn at Hetton Road in Houghton.
“A man was punched in the face, causing a cut to his nose. He did not require hospital treatment.
“A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault.”
