A MALE model is striking a pose in a bid to win a prestigious national modelling competition.
Callum Foster has made it through to the final in the men’s category of Top Model UK.
He will travel to London in April to strut his stuff alongside the other male finalists in an effort to steal the crown.
The 21-year-old from Washington won a place in the final, which will take place at The Hilton Metropole, after impressing judges at a casting session.
Callum, of Teal Farm, said: “There will be lots of professionals from the industry at the final so it’s a great opportunity to be seen.”
The Sunderland University graduate has some experience modelling at Durham Fashion Week and the London School of Modelling, but this will be his biggest catwalk moment yet. “I got spotted by River Island and asked if I was a model when I was about 15 and out shopping with my mam,” he said. “It was something I’ve always wanted to do but I wanted to finish my education and degree first. I’ve finished my broadcast journalism degree which is why I entered this competition now.”
