Hearing tests for elderly

ELDERLY residents are being invited for free hearing tests.

A hearing clinic will be held on Tuesday between 9am and 5pm at Age UK Sunderland, Bradbury Centre, Stockton Road, Sunderland.

Visitors will receive a free assessment by one of the qualified audiologists from Age UK Hearing Aids as well as advice on hearing in background noise and with improved clarity.

There will also be demonstrations of products available, such as invisible hearing solutions.

Age UK has been working with UK Hearing Aids to offer a complete care service.

The service guides people through the entire process – from hearing tests and recommendations, to products and free life-time aftercare.

Alan Patchett, Director of Age UK Sunderland, said; “Hearing clearly can have a dramatic impact on our quality of life.

“Without it, we can feel cut off from the world around us and from the people we care about. That’s why we are so excited to be hosting a pop-up hearing clinic at Age UK Sunderland.

“If you struggle with some degree of hearing loss and are looking to improve on your day to day hearing, please come by and we will do what we can to help”.

To find out more information, call Age UK Sunderland on 514 1131.
