A WEDDING fair is giving people the chance to live like a lord and lady.
Seaham Hall – which recently unveiled the results of a £2m refurbishment – has teamed up with Sunderland Echo’s sister publication etc and will be putting on a wedding show this Saturday.
The luxury, five-star venue, which overlooks the Durham heritage coastline, was the setting for the marriage of poet Lord Byron, who tied the knot to Anne Isabella Milbanke in 1815.
Now the venue will open its doors between 1pm and 4pm to brides and bridegrooms-to-be looking to create their own piece of history.
etc editor Georga Spottiswood said: “It’s the first time we’ve held a wedding show at Seaham Hall, and we’re all extremely excited about it.
“The hall, following a complete refurbishment, is absolutely stunning. It will make the perfect wedding venue.”
etc will also be hosting a second wedding show at Radisson Blu, in Durham, on Sunday, March 23, from noon to 3pm.
