YOUNG footballers can join in with a World Cup-themed tournament during the half term holidays.
From Tuesday, SAFC’s official charity, The Foundation of Light, will be hosting a variety of soccer camps and one-off sessions in Sunderland and County Durham, for youngsters aged three to 14.
A series of special World Cup-themed tournaments will also be running at the Russell Foster Football Centre in Houghton-le-Spring. Every team will be guaranteed a minimum of four games.
A separate three-day course will be held at the Goals Soccer Centre, Sunderland between Wednesday and Friday
Two-day courses will also be held at Pelton Primary School and Belmont Community Arts College, both in Durham, as well as Washington Millennium Centre, Washington.
For younger football fans, the Foundation of Light will be hosting the Little Dribblers Holiday Club, for three to five-year-olds.
Multi-sport coaching days will also be on held on Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 May at Castle View Enterprise Academy, Sunderland, for people with physical and learning disabilities.
They are £25 and £15 for the three-day and two-day soccer camps respectively, with the exception of the Washington Millennium Centre session which is £10. Disability Multi-Sports is £15 per player for both days, with Little Dribblers Holiday Club priced at £20 for a full day (8.30am-4.30pm) or £12 for a half day.
