ARSON is suspected after fire broke out in an empty house in Sunderland.
The blaze began in the living room of the end-terrace property, in Hendon Burn Avenue, just after 1am yesterday.
Neighbours were alerted by smoke alarms in the house and the fire was extinguished before it could spread. No-one was hurt.
