A DANCE-OFF with a difference hopes to raise awareness of violence against women.
One Billion And Rising is a worldwide event to highlight the statistic that one in three women globally will be raped or beaten in their lifetime.
Men and women across the world are set to dance together on Valentine’s Day, which marks the 15th anniversary of the event.
Dance teacher Claire Wayman, 38, from Ashbrooke, has organised Sunderland’s contribution, which takes place in the Chesters pub.
Everyone is welcome to take part and there will also be the chance to make a £3 donation and join a 12-minute dance routine afterwards.
