GRASSROOTS football coaches are invited to SAFC’s training ground to brush up their skills.
The Academy of Light, in Cleadon, is hosting a Coaching the Coaches session for sports leaders.
A classroom-based clinic will look at the importance of pre-match preparation, before coaches take part in a practical session based on defending on the pitch.
Led by Academy head of coaching Elliott Dickman, and the Foundation of Light’s head of football development, Jamie Wright, the sessions are designed to improve the standard of play at clubs.
The workshop takes place on Friday, March 22, from 6pm to 9pm.
Jamie Wright said: “The Foundation of Light is actively committed to the development of grassroots football in the North East and these workshops are a major part of that.”
