CALL centre workers pooled their efforts to help donate a collection of Easter eggs to Sunderland children and women who have suffered from domestic violence.

EDF Energy customer service advisors at Doxford International Business Park, collected the chocolate treats to give to the Wearside Women in Need which provides a 24-hour helpline, advice, support and accommodation for women suffering from mental health issues, and support for excluded young people aged 13 to 19.

Dawn Duffy, team manager at EDF, said: “The Wearside Women in Need charity do some great work throughout the region, so we wanted to give them a small gesture of Easter eggs to give to the families they help. It’s a great cause and we hope that some of the children can enjoy a happy Easter no matter what their circumstances.”
