A BIKER injured in a car smash is in hospital in a stable condition with serious leg injuries.
The man was taken to the Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary by paramedics after a collision with a Renault Clio.
The A1052 at the junction of Dairy Lane and Ninelands, Houghton, was closed for three hours on Friday due to the crash, which happened about 5.45pm.
They are urging anyone with information to call 101.
