FAMILIES can hang a former Bishop of Durham on their Christmas tree.
Canterbury Cathedral is selling Justin Welby tree decorations to raise money for church funds.
The 6.25inch/15.8cm ornament costs £8.99 was launched as part of the Cathedral shop’s Christmas range.
A description on the cathedral’s online shop said: “The decorations are made in Thailand by a company called St. Nicholas who are a responsible employer, caring for the workforce and the environment.”
Archbishop Welby was enthroned as the 105th Archbishop of Canterbury on March 21 2013, succeeding Rowan Williams.
Archbishop Welby served just two years at Durham before leaving to take up the top job at Canterbury.
He was enthroned as Bishop of Durham in Durham Cathedral on 26 November 2011 and appointed Archbishop of Canterbury on November 9.
He is to be replaced at Durham by Bishop Paul Butler
