Appeal for photos of modern life

YOUNGSTERS are being asked to provide their favourite photos of modern-day life to provide a record for future generations.

Durham County Record Office, at County Hall in Durham City, will hold its sixth annual family fun day at the end of this month to give families the chance to look at the county’s archives and find out more about the heritage of the area.

The theme of this year’s gathering is photography, and children are being asked to bring along up to three photographs each which will then be preserved for future generations.

The fun day takes place on Friday, May 30, from 9.30am to 12.30pm, with admission free.
