TRAFFIC is moving again after a two-vehicle collision on the A690.
Commuters were delayed after the crash closed both lanes of the east bound dual carriageway, at the junction of the A690 and Stoneygate, Houghton.
Police and the ambulance service attended the smash involving a Citroen and a Peugot.
No one was seriously injured, but the driver of the Citroen was taken to University Hospital of North Durham, as a precaution, following complaints of neck pain.
The road reopened at 9am.
