SUNDERLAND players were the pride of the city on Sunday after their Wembley performance against Manchester City – but it was a Liverpool star who made the biggest online splash with Echo readers.

Our cup final reporting team snapped the Reds’ midfielder, from Herrington, with his hood up standing among Black Cats fans.
The 23-year-old signed for Liverpool for £16million from his boyhood team in 2011, and has since become a key figure in Brendan Rodgers side.
Sunderland fans have been full of praise for Henderson’s loyalty to his hometown team and choosing to join them in the stands.
