Mayor of Sunderland Coun Alan Emerson is sitting pretty with help from car seats firm Lear Corporation.

The firm is sponsoring this year Mayor’s Civic Dinner, at the Stadium of Light on Friday, March 24.

While the evening is obviously a great opportunity for people to meet, socialise and enjoy themselves it also has a serious purpose which is to help raise money for some fantastic local charities.

The evening of entertainment will raise funds for Coun Emerson’s chosen Mayoral Charities - St Benedict’s Hospice, Sunderland Headlight, and Diabetes UK (Sunderland).

“I’d like to thank Lear for sponsoring this year’s event, and everyone who has bought tickets and donated prizes,” said Coun Emerson. It is the support of the local business community and our partner agencies which allows us to stage this annual event.
