POLICE have named the child and two adults killed in a head on car crash with a lorry.
Toddler Destiny Reed, 14 months, mum Natalie, 18, and great-grandfather Robert Reed, 74, were travelling in a silver Renault Megane Scenic when it collided with the large vehicle on the B1404 Seaton Lane, between Seaham and Houghton.
Robert’s wife, Margaret Reed, 74, is in Middlesbrough’s James Cook Memorial Hospital in Middlesbrough where she is said to be in a critical but stable condition.
The couple are the grandparents of Natalie’s partner.
The incident happened at 12.20pm yesterday. The 42-year-old lorry driver, who is from Hetton, is being interviewed by investigators this afternoon.
