EMERGENCY services were scrambled at an airport today after a plan developed problems while preparing for take off and left the end of the runway.

The Falcon 230 aircraft, operated by Cobham Aviation Services, was involved in an incident at around 10.30am at Durham Tees Valley Airport.

None of the three staff who were on board were injured in the alert and the airport has continued to operate as normal.
