IN short, the answer is no.

Since the state of New York in the USA was hit by mammoth amounts of snow earlier this week, national papers have been reporting that the UK is next in line for sub-zero gloom.

But forecasters, such as the Met Office, are not predicitng temperatures to fall far below zero in the coming days – and there’s definitely not 6ft of snow on the way.

The next five days are expected to have temperatures sitting at around 8C during the day and falling to around 3C at night, with frost “possible”.

In a fairly underwheling forecast, the Met Office states it will be “cloudy at first on Sunday with perhaps some rain in the east” then “mostly dry Monday with some sunny spells and with an overnight frost possible”.

Temperatures are expected to fall as we head into December but not with the storms being seen in the USA.
