A CURIOUS horse got into a spot of bother after becoming stuck in a gate.
The light brown horse got its front hooves trapped after walking over a metal gate which was laid flat in a field, near Chilton Moor.
Firefighters and a senior officer from High Handenhold station were called to farmland off Pit House Lane just after 11am on Sunday.
Specialist cutting equipment was used to free the animal, which was unhurt.
Watch manager Alan Renshaw said: “The horse must have decided it would try and walk over the gate.
“It was fairly calm when we got there, so we just used hydraulic equipment to spread the bars of the gate and he pulled his hooves out himself.”
