CLUB bosses are hoping to net a clutch of awards after being nominated for a series of honours.
Sunderland AFC has been shortlisted for the Best Club Marketing Campaign, in the Football Business Awards, for its #SAFCLegends 2014/15 season card campaign, which immortalised the fans as the true legends.
The Stadium of Light has also been nominated in the category Best Non-match Day Use of Venue, after staging a number of high-profile concerts and hosting the annual University of Sunderland graduation ceremonies.
Sunderland AFC’s charity, the Foundation of Light, has also been named as one of nine finalists in the Best Football Community Scheme category at the awards. The charity works with more than 42,000 young people and families each year, across the North East.
