Firefighters made a former Sunderland garage's gable end safe after part of it collapsed in high winds.
Firefighters were called out to Harbour View Motors in Roker at 1pm today after a number of bricks fell from the building's gable end onto the pavements below.
Crews from Sunderland, South Shields and Hebburn, attended the scene and the area was cordoned off.
Steve Errington, crew manager for Sunderland, said: "There had been some very high winds at times throughout the day and basically the gable end's cables had failed and a few rows of the bricks had fell.
"We gained access to the building and then took a few more rows down to make it safe. We also removed a sign which was attached to electricity cables.
"Nobody was injured."
