THIS is your last chance to check out some of those wannabe models taking part in the Echo’s Face of 2011 competition.
Keerey Marshall only found out she was in the competition when her aunty happened to mention it.
The 21-year-old, from Roker, said: “My aunt kept asking for a picture of me, but she wouldn’t tell me why. When she did tell me I was really surprised.
Keerey who works as a barmaid in the Royal Marine pub, Fulwell, as well as in Passion nightclub, said: “A lot of people have told me I should do modelling but I’ve never done anything about it.
“I think that is why my aunty entered me. The competition sounds really good so I don’t mind now that she put me forward.”
The competition, in association with Reds Hair and Beauty, has some fantastic goodies on offer for the winning face this year.
The gifts include a year’s modelling contract with Glamrus Model Agency, a photoshoot with top photographer David Lawson and £100 to spend at Eleven.
If that’s not enough, the judges’ favourite face will also get a year’s free hairdressing at Reds so they can look picture perfect every day.
But we are not just looking for a pretty face. A sparkling personality is also on our list of must-haves.
Becki Roberts, who work at Levis Strauss at Dalton Park, says she’s doing it for all the short people in Sunderland. At 5ft 4in she has struggled to make it as a model so far, but hopes the competition will change that.
She said: “I’ve got more confidence than ever before because I lost four stone with Slimming World. I don’t believe I’m perfect I think I’ve just got a girl next door look.
“I would love to be a model it looks so glamorous,”
