HELP is still available to customers struggling with the digital TV switchover.
Older and disabled people can still get help up until the end of next month.
The first stage on the switchover in the Tyne Tees TV region started on Wednesday.
The Switchover Help Scheme has already helped tens of thousands of older and disabled people and is open for applications until October 26.
People can take up the offer of help now even if they contacted the scheme to opt out.
Approved installers will make an appointment to install everything needed to make the switch to digital and a free 12-month aftercare line is provided.
Emma Speed, Help Scheme regional manager, said: “We know that some people only realise at the last minute that they could do with some help – even if up until now they thought that they were going to be OK for switchover.
“We’re still here to help any eligible older or disabled person make the switch to digital and provide everything they need to convert their TV.”
