WEARSIDERS are being asked to have their say on worthy causes to receive a cash boost.
Yorkshire Building Society’s Sunderland branch is asking the public to help it choose five local charities or good causes for its annual Make A Difference Week giveaway.
From tomorrow, the branch will be throwing open its doors until Saturday, August 25 and inviting people in to nominate the charity or good cause they would like to see receive a £100 boost.
This is the fifth year that the building society’s Make A Difference Week campaign has run in the city.
Clare Sutton, the Sunderland branch bank manager, said: “Make A Difference Week has always been a brilliant success that gives some of the smaller charities the chance to get a helping hand.
“By having members of the public call in and nominate their favourite charity we are hoping we can help support some of the smaller good causes that can often be overlooked for a donation.
“I hope anybody passing our branch will pop in, pick up a nomination form and tell us who they want to see receive £100.”
To nominate your favourite charity or good cause, drop into the Yorkshire Building Society branch on High Street West and pick up a nomination form.
