SINGER Lola Saunders is hoping to survive X factor elimination tonight – but she needs your vote.
The 20-year-old, from East Boldon, made a stunning return to the ITV1 show last night after being brought back as Cheryl’s wild card.
She belted out a version of Sam Smith’s Stay With Me, which prompted Simon Cowell to say he was “absolutely gobsmacked” she wasn’t put through to the live shows in the first place and predicted she will be back on stage next week.
He told her: “You have a really, really good authentic soul voice.”
Louis, who was the one that travelled to Lola’s home to spring the surprise on Lola she was coming back to the show, said she had “the voice of an angel”, while former Spice Girl Mel B told her she has that “extra special something.”
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini said Lola, a fishmonger at Latimer’s, in Whitburn, sang “stunningly” and told her how proud she was of her, while Lola told Dermot O’Leary she was “dead chuffed” to be back.
