RESIDENTS are being invited to find out more about the switch to digital TV.
A roadshow offering information about the switch-over arrives in Houghton next week, offering residents the chance to find out more about the big switch in September.
Digital Al, the switchover robot, will be joining the roadshow team to offer practical advice on the process that will see TV broadcast digitally.
John Askew, Digital UK regional manager for the North East, said: “The whole of the Tyne Tees region, covering more than three million viewers, will have switched to digital by the end of September.
“This is a great opportunity for people to meet the teams from Digital UK and the Switchover Help Scheme, find out how to prepare and learn what assistance is available.”
The Switchover Help Scheme is aimed at helping elderly and vulnerable residents get to grips with the change.
The event takes place next Tuesday, opposite St Michael’s Church, The Broadway, from 9am to 5pm.
