WEARSIDERS are being urged to get educated about strokes with a new video.
South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust will be showing a video for stroke patients and their families at their annual general meeting on September 25.
The new educational video has been produced by the North of England Cardiovascular Network.
The idea for the video came from Julie Graham, a stroke specialist at South Tyneside District Hospital, after feedback from patients about their experiences.
The meeting will be at 4pm in the Education Centre at the South Tyneside District Hospital.
Annual reports and accounts for the year will also be presented.
Members of the public are welcome to attend and ask questions.
Stroke service staff will also be available to talk about their work and answer any questions from 3pm.
South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital services in South Tyneside and community health services in Sunderland, Gateshead and South Tyneside.
