A FITNESS guru will be putting people through their paces in a bid to raise charity funds.
Andrew Atchison is asking people to get behind his fund-raising event in aid of Parkinson’s UK.
The 25-year-old from Fulwell, who runs Body Evolve Fitness and Nutrition in Seaburn, said “I’m really looking forward to it. It will be my first charity event and every penny raised will be donated to Parkinson’s UK.”
The bootcamp session will take place at 10am on Saturday, July 19, on the grass field next to the skate park, near Morrisons supermarket in Seaburn.
Mr Atchison added: “I am hoping for people in the Sunderland area to join me and other like-minded people for a one-off charity bootcamp training session
“The session will cater for all ages and all abilities to encourage as many people as possible to come down and raise as much money as possible for a charity which is close to my heart as Parkinson’s is something my granddad suffered from late in his life.”
The charity offers help, support, care and advice to people diagnosed with Parkinson’s and their families.
Paul Jackson-Clark, director of fund-raising at Parkinson’s UK, said: “An event like this is a fantastic way to raise awareness and vital funds to support our work, which is totally dependent on donations.
“We are incredibly grateful to Andrew. I hope the event will be a huge success.”
The session will cost £3 as a donation and participants can win a Body Evolve Recipe Cookbook worth £19.99. To book or for more information, visit www.bodyevolvefitness.co.uk/charity or email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07939357910.
