THE search is on to find the most dazzling woman in Durham.
Auditions for Miss Durham 2012 will take place at Sedgefield Racecourse on Saturday, December 3.
The lucky winner will go on to represent the county competing for the title of Miss England.
That will give them the chance to secure a place in Miss World, the most famous beauty pageant on the planet, with a $100,000 prize up for grabs.
Twenty girls will be chosen to go through to the final in March.
“The ladies of Durham are a glamorous bunch and love dressing to impress,” said Jill Williamson, general manager of Sedgefield Racecourse.
“We’ve been holding Miss Durham at the racecourse for eight years now and it’s become a huge event in our calendar.
“We’re looking for women with a good attitude who take pride in their appearance and ooze charisma.
“The winner will go on to represent Durham against the rest of the country, so it’s a big responsibility and we need somebody who will really step up to the mark.”
Entrants must be aged 17 to 24 on September 30, 2012.
Application forms are from www.sedgefield-racecourse.co.uk, or can be requested by email from firstname.lastname@example.org.
