Last Saturday, they accompanied president John Bowskill to the Rotary Club of Seaburn’s annual dinner dance at the Seaburn Marriott Hotel. On Tuesday a group enjoyed a hilarious evening at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle having the “Fawlty Towers Dining Experience”. This was followed by a Rat Pack Night on Wednesday at Mamma Italia in Stannington Grove where local singer Anthony Stringer entertained with favourites from the Sinatra and Dean Martin era. Pascal and his staff at Mamma Italia provided an excellent buffet. On Thursday, at the weekly lunch at the Rosedene Hotel, Treasurer Tony Everett announced that the club had raised £25,000 for charitable purposes in the last financial year.
