TV presenter Gloria Hunniford got her green fingers dirty at a special hospice event.
The showbiz veteran opened the newly refurbished gardens at St Cuthbert’s Hospice in North Durham.
Gloria, ambassador for Flora pro.activ, was there to promote the healthy benefits of gardening.
She said: “I really hope people enjoy using the garden and will feel motivated to add to it over the years.”
St Cuthbert’s Hospice is a charity which opened in 1988 and provides care free of charge for people with life-limiting conditions, as well as giving support to their families.
The Day Hospice provides physiotherapy, complementary therapies, advice on symptom control, and social activities for up to 15 patients a day, four days a week.
