A PERSONAL trainer who helped Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby get in shape is offering Wearsiders the chance to tone up in the new year.

David Souter worked with Sunderland’s Charlotte, known for her boozing and outrageous behaviour on the hit MTV show, to help her lose 2.5st.

Now, he’s giving Echo readers the chance to do the same by giving away a 10-day detox and weight loss programme.

David, an award-winning trainer who owns and runs companies My Fitness Trainer and In10sity, said: “What I did with Charlotte was high intensity interval training, which is based around the person’s body weight.

“It started with Charlotte dropping the drink and the fast food she was eating after going out drinking.

“She knows she had a problem with her lifestyle but once she started clean eating, she loved it and she even started cooking.

“The last time I saw her for a training session was on Boxing Day. She’s lost 2.5st and she just feels so much better and happier.

“She said she wants to keep going. She was abusing her body with drink and bad food and then she’d go through a phase of not eating very much so her metabolism would slow right down, then when she started eating bad food again it would just stay with her.”

The 10-day detox programme includes workouts, shopping lists, challenges, and programmes to help maintain weight loss.

David, from Whickham, Newcastle, who has also worked with Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison, added: “This sort of workout has so many benefits like weight loss, boosting energy levels, improving sleeping patterns, regulating hormone levels and skin and hair looks and feels so much better.

“By day four, most people will have lost between five and seven pounds.

“A daily workout is important and nutrition is key and you can get everything you need in Asda, but people don’t know what to look for.

“For example, when buying yoghurt, people will go straight for the fat-free types but it’s the worst they can buy. It’s missing all the good fats that you need and is full of sugar.

“My programme teaches people what they should and shouldn’t be buying and eating.”
