GEORDIE Shore star Marnie Simpson has snipped the ribbon on a new salon.

The South Shields lass, who joined the reality TV show in 2013, met guests as she give the business a welcome boost.

Foxy Hair Extensions first opened in 2006, and has now opened a new branch in Ridley Place.

Marnie said: “It was a brilliant day, and made even better because it’s on my own turf, so to speak. I wish Foxy the very best going forward.”

Celebrating their 10th year in business and the opening of their third outlet, Foxy owners’ husband and wife team Simon and Hayley Fox are delighted with their progression.

Hayley said: “We’ve gone from our one fitting shop in Kingston Park to three shops within the 10 years we’ve been open, a change that was forced on us as the MetroCentre branch and Kingston Park branches are struggling to cope with the demand for beautiful, luscious locks.

“It’s been a bit of a roller-coaster ride, as we only had three weeks to open the Ridley Place branch, however we were determined to make it, and with a lot of hard work and tenacity from the whole Foxy team, we pulled it off.

“We’re just delighted that we’re now officially open and were over the moon that Geordie Shore’s Marnie agreed to cut the ribbon and meet some of our clients.”

Foxy’s razzmatazz opening including red carpet, balloon pillars, branded cup cakes, hair and make-up demonstrations and lots of give-aways.
