South Shields reality star Marnie Simpson has entered the Celebrity Big Brother house.
The 24-year-old Geordie Shore star is the third cast member from the MTV show to enter the famous house.
She’ll be hoping to follow in the footsteps of fellow stars Charlotte Crosby and Scott Timlin, better known as Scotty T, who triumphed on the Channel 5 reality show in 2013 and earlier this year, respectively.
Fellow Geordie Vicky Pattison also has a showbiz show title under her belt, having been named Queen of the Jungle on last year’s I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here.
Marnie will be living in the house with a host of famous faces over the next few weeks.
Within minutes of entering, she was talking to other contestants about her North East roots.
She spoke to broadcaster James Whale about living and growing up in South Shields, with her fellow housemate mentioning Marsden and mimicking her accent.
As she entered the house, host Emma Willis asked if she had a chance of winning the show.
She said: “I doubt it.
“I’m very different from Scot and Charlotte, but I’m hoping that everyone likes me, but I don’t know if I’ll win, I will try.
“I’m definitely going to break the rules.”
She also said she wanted to have a good time during her stay.
“I want to play games, get drunk and have a good laugh,” she added.
“I’m going in for fun and that’s what I’m going to get.”
Loose Women panellist Saira Khan, Frankie Grande, Ricky Norwood, who is best known as Fatboy from EastEnders, Mob Wives star Renee Graziano and Former Danity Kane singer Aubrey O’Day are among her fellow housemates.
