Enjoy a laugh at the hilarious pantomime, Cinderella, to be performed by Monkwearmouth Drama Group in St Andrew’s Church hall, Roker, on Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.15pm, Sunday at 2.30pm and November 16 and 17 at 7.15pm.

Tickets are available from the drama group on Monday nights from 7.30pm or by emailing chairman.mdg@gmail.com or pay at the door. Cost is £6 adults, £3 children and £15 for four people.

Sunderland Volunteer Life Brigade will hold a fundraising Christmas fair at the Watch House, Pier View, Roker, on Sunday from noon to 4pm. There will be stalls of pre-loved books, Christmas cards, SVLB souvenirs, gifts and tombola. Hot drinks and mince pies will be available at a small cost. Visit this interesting piece of Sunderland’s maritime history and support your local life-saving service.

Fulwell WI will meet on Tuesday, November 17, in Fulwell Community Centre, Chapman Street, at 7.15pm. There will be a talk on Women of Egypt and a table- top. There will also be a game of guess who from wedding photos. All women are welcome.

All Saints’ Church invites you to along to its monthly coffee morning on Saturday in the vestry meeting room at 10am.

Roker United Reformed Church Fellowship will meet on Tuesday, November 17, at 2pm. Speaker will be Elizabeth Robson. All are welcome to join them.

A Christmas craft fair will be held in Fulwell Methodist Church on Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Refreshments will be available. All are welcome.

Wearside Field Club will meet tonight at 7.30pm in Fulwell Community Centre, Chapman Street. Speaker Margaret Hedley will talk about Victorian Pit Women. Bookings will be taken at this meeting for this month’s visit to Leeds.

A Saint Peter’s ward surgery will be held at Roker United Reformed Church, Sidecliff Road, on Saturday with Councillor Julia Jackson in attendance.

Seaburn Ladies’ Probus will meet on Thursday in the Roker Hotel at 10am for 10.30am for a talk entitled Three Wise Men by speaker Bill Clemett. At this meeting, a list will be made for Christmas lunch after the meeting on December 17. All ladies are welcome.

Women’s Institute ladies that lunch event will be held at Hylton College on Friday, November 20. It starts at 11am with tea, coffee and homemade biscuits.Then Dot will talk about the benefits of plants on the skin. There will be a spot prize and quiz. All Saints’ Ladies’ Fellowship will meet in the vestry meeting room at All Saints’ Church, Fulwell Road, tomorrow at 7.45pm for a Remembrance Day Service. All ladies are welcome.
