Have your say

Atmospheric sunsets and garden visitors are among the sights in this week’s Friday Photos, courtesy of reader Stuart Lawton.

WE’VE had a great response to our request for reader’s photos, and first to be showcased is Stuart Lawton, from High Barnes.

He sent in a great selection of shots featuring some well-known local sights and curious garden visitors.

Stuart, 40, has been taking photographs for the past 15 years with point-and-shoot cameras, but has been using a digital SLR for the past two years. His interests include landscape, nature, still-life and action photography.

Many thanks to Stuart for taking part in Friday Photos – would you like to follow in his footsteps and see your work on these pages?

We’re looking for photos on any style or theme, and photographers of any age or level of experience. Maybe you’re a photography student who would like to get some exposure or an experienced snapper looking for a wider audience? Whatever your story, we’d love to see your work.

If you’d like to take part in Friday Photos, see the information at the bottom of the page, and in the coming weeks it could be your images on these pages.

Would you like to have your work featured in Friday Photos? If so, we’d love to hear from you. We want photos on any theme, whether it’s landscapes or portraits, events or wildlife. All you have to do is send some examples of your work and some details about yourself – such as your age, name, occupation, interests and hobbies – plus a photograph of yourself.

Email friday.photos@northeast-press.co.uk or send photos on a disc to Sunderland Echo, Friday Photos, Features Department, Echo House, Pennywell, Sunderland, SR4 9ER. Sorry, but discs can’t be returned.

IMPORTANT: We’ll only be able to print photos that are of a high resolution. Please keep this in mind before sending any work.

Taken a great shot but don’t have enough images for Friday Photos? Send it to echo.view@northeast-press.co.uk and it could appear on the letters page or Page 2, where we print readers’ photos every day.
